1. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for services provided by Changing Lanes Organization, women must meet the following criteria:

• Facing homelessness or housing insecurity.

• Willing to commit to the full participation in the program.

• Must be legally capable of entering into agreements.

• Must comply with all health and safety regulations of the organization.
  Changing Lanes reserves the right to deny services to individuals who do not meet these criteria or who fail to comply with the program’s requirements.

2. Commitment to the Program

Participants must commit to the full duration of the program. The six-stage recovery program is designed to help you transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency, and it requires full cooperation and participation. Your engagement in every stage, from stability to leadership, is necessary for achieving the goals of the program.

• Participants must actively engage in all activities, counseling sessions, and workshops as directed by Changing Lanes.

• Regular attendance and timely participation in scheduled activities are mandatory.

• Participants are expected to maintain a positive attitude and respect towards staff, mentors, and fellow participants.

Failure to adhere to these requirements may result in removal from the program.

3. Behavior and Conduct

Participants must adhere to a strict code of conduct while receiving services. Any of the following behaviors will result in immediate removal from the program:

​

• Substance abuse or possession of illegal drugs.

• Violent, threatening, or disruptive behavior towards staff, volunteers, or other participants.

• Violation of the organization’s policies regarding the use of alcohol, drugs, and tobacco.

• Theft or destruction of property.

• Any illegal activity or conduct that endangers the safety or wellbeing of others.
  Changing Lanes is committed to maintaining a safe, supportive environment, and disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

4. Housing and Facilities Use

​

• Participants must adhere to all housing rules and regulations provided by Changing Lanes.

• Respect for shared spaces and communal areas is required.

• Any damage to property or failure to maintain a clean living space may result in removal from the program.

• All personal belongings must be kept within designated areas.

Failure to comply with these rules will result in loss of housing and other services.

5. Financial Responsibility

Participants are required to comply with any financial obligations as outlined by the program. This may include:

​

• Paying for any personal expenses (e.g., toiletries, personal items).

• Financial literacy education, if applicable, must be attended and followed.

• If applicable, participants will be required to save a portion of any income earned through employment during their stay in the program.

Failure to adhere to financial guidelines or misuse of funds provided will result in program termination

6. Health and Safety Compliance

• Participants must adhere to all health and safety regulations, including COVID-19 guidelines or other public health measures.

• Medical assessments or health screenings may be required prior to entry and during the program’s duration.

• Any serious medical condition or mental health crisis must be reported to staff immediately.

• Participants are expected to maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with health standards.

Non-compliance may result in removal from the program.

7. Confidentiality and Privacy

Participants must respect the confidentiality of other participants, staff, and any sensitive information shared during the program.

​

• No participant is allowed to disclose personal information about others without their consent.

• Changing Lanes will maintain the confidentiality of personal information, except as required by law or in emergency situations.

8. Termination of Services

Changing Lanes reserves the right to terminate services at any time for participants who fail to comply with the Terms and Conditions outlined in this document.

Termination may occur for:

​

• Repeated violations of the program’s rules and guidelines.

• Engaging in illegal activities or behaviors that compromise the safety of others.

• A lack of progress or participation in the program as determined by staff.

If you are removed from the program, you will be provided with alternative resources and referrals to other services in the community.

​

9. Acknowledgment and Agreement

By participating in the Changing Lanes program, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined above. This agreement is binding, and non-compliance may result in the termination of services.

• You acknowledge that you understand the expectations and guidelines of the program.

• You agree to participate in the program with the intent of achieving self-sufficiency and making progress toward your recovery and success.
